Curriculum Advertisements
The Bessie B. Moore Center for Economic Education has a large lending library filled with teacher resources. When materials are new we often receive grants to show teachers how to use the new resource and to give them the curriculum. A teacher is welcome to borrow the curriculum guide from us. We will mail it to you (or possibly bring it) and you can pay the return postage. Or you can schedule a meeting with Dr. Rita Littrell to discuss your curriculum needs and she will help you to locate lessons to meet standards or your course goals. Or you can schedule an in-service program for your subject area or grade level at your school or district.
Dr. Littrell teaches undergraduate economics courses during the fall and spring semesters. In spring 2006 she taught a class for middle school education majors. A requirement was to create a PowerPoint advertising a curriculum guide that is appropriate for use in middle level classes. The students did a good job with these. Dr. Littrell found new lessons she plans to use from their presentations and thought that you might also. Therefore, browse these advertisements for resources that might be helpful to you as a teacher. Economics America school districts can order the materials at a 25% discount on materials produced by the National Council on Economic Education. Let us know if you want to purchase something and need assistance.
